Coca Cola Scholars Program

For students graduating from high school this year and attending a college in the US. Students must have a B average at the end of the junior year.

Students can complete their application online at www.coca-colascholars.org.

Deadline is October 31, 2009.

Elks National Foundation 2010 Most Valuable Student Scholarships
Applications available online at the ENF website:
http://www.elks.org/enf/scholars/mvs.cfm
Applications also available in the Guidance Office.
Deadline is November 2, 2009.


Prudential Spirit of Community Award
Eligible: Any student volunteering in their community over the past year
Amount: $1,000 and a fabulous trip to Washington, D.C.
Apply: Visit the http://spirit.prudential.com or www.principals.org/prudential. Follow onscreen instructions and type in the word spirit for the access code. Paper applications are available by calling 1-877-525-8491.
Deadline is November 2, 2009

KFC Colonel’s Scholars Program
For students graduating from high school between 12/1/09 and 8/31/09 and pursuing a bachelor’s degree and enrolling in a public, in-state college or university. Scholarship amount is $5000.

Students can complete their application online at www.kfcscholars.org.

The online application will be available from December 1, 2009 through February 10, 2010.

The New York Water Environment Association will be offering a total of six $1,500 scholarships.
- Two to children of NYWEA members
- Two to students enrolled at a college or university where there is a NYWEA student chapter.
- Two to high school students who will be enrolled in an environmentally related program in a four year college/university
Submit your completed application no later than January 21, 2009.
Application available in the Guidance Office.

SEFCU Smart Sense Scholarships
Eligibility: Students must be primary member on a SEFCU account and plan to attend a 2 or 4 year college. Applicants will be judged on academic performance,
Extracurricular, community and volunteer activities, and content of the written essay.
To request an application packet, students can e-mail marketing@sefcu.com or call 451-2897.
Deadline is Friday, January 22, 2010.

New York State PTA - Jenkins Memorial Scholarship for Teacher Education
Eligible: Seniors planning to become a teacher and attend a college of the State University of NY (4 year) or attend a two year community college before transferring to a college of the State University of NY
Amount: $3,000
Applications: New York State PTA website at www.nyspta.org or paper application available in the Guidance Office
Deadline is January 25, 2010

New York State PTA Youth Humanitarian Award
Eligible: Junior or Senior with outstanding volunteer community service
Amount: $250

Association of Fire Districts of the State of New York Scholarship
Eligibility: Students must be related to or be a Firefighter in an affiliated member organization of the Association of Fire Districts of the State of New York and must reside within NY. Students must pursue a career in a community service related area.
Amount: Three $1500 scholarships
Applications will be available online on the Associations website www.firedistnys.com and in the Guidance Office.
Applications must be postmarked by the first Saturday in March.
