Code of Conduct for Athletes
Athletics provide an opportunity to develop qualities of sportsmanship, citizenship, and personal discipline in addition to physical athletic skills. Student athletes of BKW are expected to represent themselves, their school and community in a positive and respectful manner.

Students should be aware that participation in the BKW athletic program is a privilege and not a right. Regulations are in effect 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. BKW maintains a proud and very successful athletic program. This positive representation can only be upheld if athletes’ conduct is held to a high standard.

Main components of the code include attendance, academic eligibility, alcohol, tobacco & drugs, and citizenship and sportsmanship. Violations to this code can range from game suspensions to removal from the team.

All current athletes were given an athletic handbook. Extra copies of this document are available in the middle school/high school office. Click here to read the Athletic Code of Conduct (PDF file).
